L100U insert is a Urethane jaw-coupling insert with good flexibility and medium soft torsional stiffness. L100U inserts are also called L100U spiders and are used within L100 coupling hubs. The insert is the critical component allowing flexibility and is placed between the jaw hubs, preventing metal-on-metal contact. More specifically, the L100U coupling insert is made from high-quality Urethane, which is a polyurethane material that is orange in color.
