Sectional Auger Flighting & Screws
The largest benefit of sectional flight conveyor screws is that they have a wide range of customizable options available for them, unlike other styles. Our standard selection of sectional conveyor screws ranges from 6" up to 24" in diameter, but custom sizes can be made per specific requirements. They are manufactured from heavy-gauge steel and formed by being blanked from steel plate, formed into a helix, then butted up against one another and welded together. Sectional flights are formed with a lead longer than their pitch to assure a tight gripping action along the entire pipe length. Sectional flights are typically fastened to the pipe by intermittent welds and welded steel lugs for secure fastening. The sections can be continuously welded on either side or both sides, dependent on preference. The pipe has seamless internal collars at each end for accommodating the shafts. Because of the construction of the screw, sectional flights are also available in special diameters, thicknesses, pitches, and pipe sizes. They can also be formed from alternate materials such as stainless steel, Monel, brass, copper, and more!
