Plastic Flange Bearings
Plastic flange bearings are designed to replace cast and stainless steel flange bearings in applications that are extremely abrasive or are required to conform to USDA and FDA requirements. Our high-quality plastic flange bearings are manufactured from premium virgin UHMW and have a molecular weight of at least 4.2 million for extended wear life and performance. We stock both the 2-bolt flange mounted plastic bearings and the four-bolt bearings. Standard bore sizes range from 1/2" up to 3" inside diameter, these bearings are manufactured to standard bearing dimensions (bolt holes, hole spacing, base height, etc.) so they can directly interchange with common brands, eliminating the need for equipment adjustments and modifications. Flange mounted bearings have excellent holding power and are commonly found in horizontal applications. The standard operating temperature for these bearings is 200°F, however, for high-temp applications, we also produce these bearings in an acetal material capable of operating up to 600°F. Additionally, UHMW plastic flange bearings are self-lubricating due to the properties of the plastic material.
