Liners are designed to protect equipment from corrosion, wear, erosion, and even harsh temperatures. Typically liners are made from UHMW or some sort of Engineered Plastic, Iron, and various metals. Depending on the material selection the liner can also absorb impact and prevent leaking in applications that are vunrible to it.
