In corrosive, food-grade, or extreme temperature applications a standard carbon-steel chain won't last due to corrosion or the general elements of the application. This is where a #41 stainless steel roller chain is recommended due to the metal composition of the stainless steel. It also has the broadest operating temperature range of any standard "on the shelf" roller chain. More specifically, the ANSI 41 chain is designed for applications that need a 1/2" pitch chain with a narrow profile and a light-weight such as gate operators, doors, medium duty conveyors, etc..

Specifically, our #41 stainless steel is manufactured per the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) B29.1 standards guidelines and dimensions. This means that it directly interchanges with other brands and manufacturers. Though dimensionally equivalent, our 41 stainless chain surpasses others with the use of solid heat-treated components and exact tolerances for not only an extended working life but also better overall performance. Typically this chain will be supplied in a 10ft box including one connecting link but we also stock 50ft, 100ft, and up to 250ft reels.
