1045 TGP Shafting - Turn Ground and Polished
TGP is the abbreviation of Turn Ground and Polished shafting. This type of shaft has a tighter tolerance, nicer finish, and has been polished. Turn ground and polished shafting is better than standard shaft because it provides a much easier installation for bearings, collars, sprockets, and other accessories. It also provides better and smoother operation which results in reduced vibration, thus extending the life of the other components in motion because of the shaft. We keep turn ground and polished (TGP) shafting in stock as plain or keyed configurations in both inch and metric sizes, we can also supply custom shafting upon request.
