When searching for the right skid steer drive chain it is important to notate that skid steer roller chains are in one of the harshest machinery applications out there. At USA Roller Chain we recommend using the HSP series drive chain manufactured by German-based company IWIS drive systems, or our Super Series chains. We stock these chains from ANSI sizes 60 through 120, the chain that came on the skid steer from the factory conforms dimensionally to ANSI B29.1 standards just like ours so there is no need for modifications to use these chains. The advantages to the HSP chains and our Super Series roller chains compared to OEM chains is a solid bushing and solid roller design for improved stress loads and smoother operation, heavy-duty thicker and wider side plates to handle shock loads, quad staked pins for ensured holding power on the rivets (even in side-load circumstances), specific heat-treat and shot-peening processes done to the chain components for fatigue resistance and prolonged wear life. combined with everything else, our chains are manufactured using premium quality select steel alloys to give you the longest-lasting skid steer drive chain out there.
