Static Sleeve Bearings Description/Features
Static sleeve bearings eliminate the need for high drag wall bearings and are often much more cost effective. Typically when a wall bering and shaft is in use, corrosion builds up and causes an increasing amount of resistance to the rotation of the shaft turning inside the bearings. This decreases the service life of the components involved and requires more energy to use. Static sleeve bearings are available in cast nylon, polyurethane, or UHMW-PE for self lubrication. Naturally, these materials are highly resistant to corrosion and thanks to modern manufacturing processes out static sleeve bearings are extremely durable.
