These roller chains are designed with a solid bushing and part plastic/part metal roller for noise reduction. On a standard application, low noise roller chain can have as much as a 10 decibel reduction in noise when used with a steel sprocket. For those who are looking to silence a roller chain operation when using a low noise chain or standard roller chain, we recommend using plastic roller chain sprockets. We keep these sprockets in stock in ANSI sizes #25 - #80 in a UHMW FDA approved material.
