Implement Planter Chain


Farm implement planters have been around since 1875 and were originally patented by G.W Brown, these planters were person or horse driven. Thanks to the industrial revolution automated farm implement planters were introduced in the late 19th century. The standard farm implement planter today is towed behind a tractor and ranges from 1 to 48 rows. The chain that goes onto a planter is important because this is the piece of equipment that plants seeds in rows throughout the field.

At USA Roller Chain and Sprockets we high-strength ANSI roller chains that are pre-cut to the original manufactures designated length. We offer both standard steel and corrosion resistant coated versions of the chain. Using a coated roller chain will last much longer because planter chains are exposed to the environment.
