Banded v-belts are using in applications where higher strengths are required than a single-belt is capable of supplying, such as heavy-duty agricultural and industrial applications. Using a banded belt versus using several single-belts will also provide a better alignment, tension, and improved rigidity. Though in some cases banded-belts are unavailable depending on the size and band-count needed. The typical range is two through fourteen ribs/ bands.
