API Oilfield Roller Chain
Oilfield series chains manufactured in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute standards
The oilfield roller chain that we supply is engineered and manufactured to provide the absolute maximum performance and reliability for oilfield rig applications. Specially manufactured features on this chain create a product with superior fatigue resistance and ability to withstand shock load ratings past a "standard" roller chain.Oilfield Roller Chain Features

- Stainless Steel Steel Blast For Link Plates
The multi strand API connecting pins possess unique bushed center plates. The bushings provide a press fit to the center plates that improves fatigue strength. These connecting links possess the same dynamic capacity as the base chain yet they are easy to install.
Ball Drifted Link Plates
After the roller chain parts are heat-treated, the link plates are ball drifted to eliminate small imperfections and impart beneficial compressive residual stress while improving fatigue strength providing greater reliable service life.
API Type Cotters
The special "J-hook" or "shepards" style cotter is utilized and recommended by the American Petroleum Institute for easier installation and editing in the field. Although this cotter is not absolutely required it is on all API certified chains. We also have other cottered roller chain styles available.
