It's manufactured to standard dimensions for easy replacement of cast or stainless steel bearings. 1-5/8" plastic flange bearings are found in a wide range of food-grade, corrosive, abrasive, and medical applications, because of the properties of UHMW these bearings are self-lubricating and maintenance-free.
