Specification
S5157 chain is a cast steel drag chain that is manufactured for heavy-duty conveyor applications and features a 18,200 LB working load. S5157 chain is commonly found in cement manufacturing, hot lime, and bulk material handling applications. Something that is notable about this chain is the plow shaped barrel, wings, sidebars, and the T-Head induction hardened pins. The plow shape design is reflected in each aspect of the complete link including the barrel, wings, and sidebars; this greatly improves the handling efficiency of material. Induction hardening the pins greatly increases the wear life, durability, and strength of the chain. There is also sidebar lags to protect the pin against abrasion and locks the pin in place at the same time to prevent pin rotation.
