40 X-Ring Roller Chain Specifications
#40 X-ring roller chain is designed utilizing a special X-ring design that outperforms the older style 40 o-ring roller chain. These chains are dimensionally identical to o-ring chains so replacing the chain in existing applications is possible without adjustments. 40 X-Ring chain is also available in a "narrow" series for applications that do not have additional side clearance but requires a sealed chain. X-ring chains are classed as a maintenance free roller chain because they do not need continual lubrication and have minimal stretch over time. Additionally, 40 x-ring chain has lower vibration and noise ratings versus o-ring and standard roller chains!
