Also commonly referred to as end caps, bearing end covers for stainless steel bearings serve two valuable purposes. One of which is providing additional protection from contaminants getting into the bearing and the other is for safety purposes. Our stainless steel end caps are available as both open and closed designed and offer superior durability, corrosion resistance, and fitment. The end cap part number nomenclature for closed style is designated by the housing size regardless of housing style. For example; SS206 end caps are made for all 206 housing types. When it comes to the open design the nomenclature is designated by the housing style and the shaft diameter. For example; SS205-16 open-end cap is for a 206 bearing housing that will accommodate a 1" diameter shaft (designated by the -16 in the part number).
