1008 Taper Lock Bushings
1008 bushings are categories as a "taper lock" bushing and is found in a range of roller chain sprockets and pulleys. Ranging from 1/2" to 1" (imperial) and 14mm to 25mm (metric) these bushings offer wide bore ranges. Taper bushings are utilized in applications that require a narrow length thru bore or where shaft mounting needs to be close to the bearing. The general design keeps the center load small which prevents issues with high overhung loads. 1008 bushings are split through the flange while the gradual taper provides a true clamp onto the shaft that is equal to a "shrink fit".1008 taper lock bushings are used in a very wide range of applications for a number of different reasons.
