X678 Chain Specifications

X678 Chain is a drop forged rivetless chain and is also commonly referred to as X67 trolly chain or X678 CAT chain. These chains can be found in numerous industries including sugar mills, trolley conveyors, wastewater applications, construction equipment, mining, and more! Our X678 chain is manufactured to American Standards and is available in cast steel and cast manganese alloy options. The manganese alloy possesses higher working loads and better wear characteristics but may not be necessary for every application. Drop forged rivetless chain is designed with slotted outside sidebars, bar loops as the block links, and T-headpins. The benefit of this design is limited material buildup, chain flexibility, and easy disassembly or assembly. Disassembly on the X678 chain simply consists of taking the tension off of the chain, applying pressure by hand or other mechanisms to the front or back end of the sidebars, rotating the T-pin 90-degrees to allow for the head to fit through the slot, then remove the pin. This design is preferred in many applications for the simplicity of replacing out attachments or trolleys as well as easily repairing or servicing the chain.
