Split Spherical Roller Bearings
Split spherical roller bearings are intended for heavy-duty use in mining, mineral processing and cement industries with applications involving conveyor pulleys, bucket elevators, hoists and winches, grinding mill pinions, mixers or agitators, and fans. A split spherical roller bearing consists of two symmetrical rows of rollers between two inner raceways and one common outer raceway. A cooper split spherical roller bearing is designed to have the two inner raceways inclined toward the bearing axis.
Ideal for heavy radial loads and built to be able to withstand axial loads in both directions, split spherical roller bearings are beneficial in applications in which the bearing is hard to reach, as they tend to have a longer lifetime than other bearings. A split spherical bearing is also easier to replace and maintain as it is split into two symmetrical rollers. The bearings are made for both locating and non-locating positions on the shaft.
