Citrus Chain, Sprockets, Bearings, Motors & Other Components for Citrus & Fruit Processing Facilities
Citrus packing houses are essential to ensure that the citrus products we all enjoy (oranges, lemons, limes, etc..) make it from a tree to our local grocery store or fruit stand! The first citrus packing house was constructed in DeLeon Springs, Florida, in 1892; from then to now, packing houses all around the globe require power transmission components. Citrus is one of mankind's greatest assets, providing us with nutrition, tasty treats, and juices we have all come to enjoy. At USA Roller Chain, we are honored to be a part of what gets the citrus we all love to our kitchen counter, refrigerators, and dining tables! Our high-quality components are designed and manufactured to keep your citrus processing facility running.
Citrus Chains
Citrus chains are used in elevating and conveying applications throughout the facility. The most common ones are C2060H with a D-5 (extended pin) attachment every 2nd pitch, 80 Roller Chain With D-5 attachments, or C2060H and C2080H with G1 or G19 attachments.
C2060H Citrus Chains
The below chart shows the standard configurations for C2060H citrus chains.
The below chart shows the standard configurations for #80 citrus chains; please note the D-5 extended pin is available on every 2nd or every 3rd pitch.
The below chart shows the standard configurations for double-pitch roller chains with a G1 hole on every pitch. These chains are used in sorting lines and are available in stainless steel or carbon steel material.
Our precision stainless steel sprockets are made from high-quality 303 and 304-grade stainless steel for ultimate corrosion resistance and FDA compliance. We stock stainless steel sprockets in A-Plate and B-Hub configurations, but C-Hub and custom bore sizes are available upon request! Inspecting your sprockets when replacing a chain is imperative because a worn sprocket will prematurely wear out a new chain. Another essential notation is that if you are operating stainless steel citrus chain, use stainless steel sprockets; if you use carbon, coated, or nickel-plated chains, use carbon steel sprockets.
When To Replace Citrus Chain Sprockets:
2060 sprockets are designed to operate with C2060 and C2060H roller chain sizes. Our precision 2060 sprockets are available in C1018, C1045, 304SS, and 303SS materials. We supply these sprockets as A-plate, B-hub, or C-hub configurations with specific bore sizes available upon request. The below size chart shows standard 2060 sprocket sizes, but additional tooth counts and configurations are available upon request.
#60 chain sprockets are typically only used for ANSI 60 chains. However, certain tooth counts can be used for 2060 series chains (consult our customer service team). The below size charts show our standard 60-chain sprocket configurations; please note these sprockets are also available in stainless material or UHMW (only A-plate and B-hub). Contact our customer service team for additional information, and we will be happy to assist you!
2080 sprockets are designed for C2080 and C2080H chains. These sprockets are paired with the G1 and G19 sorting chains within citrus and produce packing houses. The below chart shows our standard 2080 sprocket sizes, but additional sizes and configurations are available upon request. We also supply 2080 stainless steel sprockets. Contact our customer support team for additional information, and we will be happy to assist you!
80 chain sprockets are used for ANSI 80 roller chains. However, some tooth counts can be used for 2080 and 2080H chains (consult your sales rep for details). The below size charts show our standard 80 chain sprockets, but additional tooth counts and configurations are available upon request. We also supply these in stainless steel for food grade and washdown applications.
Utilizing washdown bearings are essential in corrosive and washdown environments while also required for FDA food-grade compliance. Our washdown units include thermoplastic bearings and full stainless steel bearing units. At USA Roller Chain, all of our washdown bearing types are precision made to C3 tolerances and are designed with specific features to improve the bearings' life and performance. We stock inch and metric bore bearings in a wide array of configurations.
Thermoplastic Bearings
Our premium
thermoplastic units are made with high-grade polymer housing featuring a stainless steel precision insert. Thermoplastic bearings are becoming increasingly popular due to their economical price point compared to stainless and awesome resistance to corrosion!
Stainless Steel Mounted Bearings
Stainless steel mounted bearing units consist of a full stainless steel housing and precision C3 stainless steel insert bearing. We offer stainless steel bearing units in various configurations and bore sizes (including metric). For additional information or to get a quote on our stainless bearing units, contact our customer support team, and we will be happy to assist you! Stainless Mounted Bearing Types:
Washdown Motors and Reducers
Washdown Electric Motors:
Washdown electric motors are categorized as a motor that can withstand water spray. We supply these motors as full stainless or as aluminum or cast that has been coated. We also supply washdown soft-starts and supporting accessories for electric motors. Washdown Reducers:
Reducers are used to achieve specific RPM output speeds for a conveyor. We supply full stainless steel, aluminum, or coated cast reducers that are washdown-rated and variable frequency drives (VFDs) for adjusting conveyor speeds.
Belts and Sheaves
We supply high-quality performance belts and sheaves (pulleys) at USA Roller Chain. As far as V-belts go, we provide all the classic A, B, C, D and E belts and the high-power series 3V, 5V, and 8V belts up to 12-sections wide! We also offer a ranger of modular and rubber conveyor belting with supporting accessories. Regarding sheaves, we supply premium grade-45 cast v-belt pulleys and carbon steel conveyor belt pulleys. For additional information or to get a quote on belts and pulleys, contact our customer service team, and we will be happy to assist you!

At USA Roller Chain, we have several citrus-specific products we supply. The table below showcases those specific products; however, our capabilities are growing daily, so if you don't see what you need specifically, please contact us!
Roller End Caps
Roller Gromits
Brushes
Washer Sprockets
Roller end caps are also commonly known as roller end bearings; they are typically used with 2" schedule 40 PVC, 2" EMT, and 2-1/4" OD tubing with a 0.83" sidewall.
The roller grommets are the grey "spacers" in the above GIF image. They create a larger pocket for when larger produce is being run.
Brushes are used for cleaning the citrus and produce. We supply a wide range of industrial brushes in a multitude of colors.
Washer sprockets are 60B11 sprockets with a unique hub. Our washer sprockets are made from 1045 steel and have hardened teeth with an anti-corrosive black oxide coating.
