Cam Followers
Introduced in the 1930s, cam followers have become an essential bearing type throughout many industries. Our high-quality cam follower bearings honour the history of cam followers with their high load capacities, premium features, and precision components. Thecallederred to as track rollers because cam followers commonly operate within tracks in automotive plants, food, beverage, drilling, printing, mills, distribution, textiles, and more! However, there are some applications such as; automated equipment, machine tools, packaging equipment, unit material handling, and more; that the cam followers are mounted externally against another surface. By design, cam followers can carry high loads with absolute minimal distortion/ bending. The stud design followers implement needle rollers in a full complement configuration (no cage) for maximized load capacity.
Our cam followers are supplied pre-lubricated with high-quality multipurpose grease and are able to be relubricated.
Special seals (suffix S) are supplied with internal thrust washers for extended service life in dusty environments or in circumstances where the cam follower is not lubricated often. Additionally, these followers are black-oxide finished for improved service life in corrosive applications and for easier mounting, there is a hex wrench socket (suffix B) in the heaf of the stud. Cam Yoke Rollers
Cam yoke rollers or cam yokes are designed without studs for direct shaft mounting. The design allows for a high load and carrying capacity with minimal distortion or bending. Internally, cam yoke bearings utilize precision needle bearings in a full complement configuration (no cage) to further increase the load capacity. Our cam yokes are supplied pre-lube with a premium quality multipurpose grease and can be relubricated when needed. Additionally, these are available as sealed or non-sealed; having seals with your cam rollers will improve the life of the bearing by keeping debris out of the internal components. Our cam yoke rollers are also supplied with a black oxide layer for corrosion resistance!
